Parents we want to make you aware there is not going to be any summer
school for credit recovery this summer for HCHS students. There are many
possibilities for your child to receive extra assistance before and after
school via the PRIDE room and through individual teachers. Please encourage
your students to utilize these opportunities for help! Parents you can
stay informed about your child’s grades by checking Infinite Campus for
student grades, contacting teacher via phone/email/conferences, and by
contacting guidance counselors.
New Calculator Rental Program
and the new calculator policy for HCHS.
The new
procedure: Beginning January 2010 all students must supply their own
calculator for math class. Teachers will be assigning homework with the
expectation that all students have a graphing calculator. All students must
have a Texas Instrument 84 plus or silver edition or other approved graphing
calculator ( ask your child’s math teacher). You may purchase one at Wal-mart
or any department store for about $110. HCHS will be renting these
calculators on a first come first serve basis for students at a cost of
$30. The student will be able to use the calculator and turn it in after
finals in May or early June 2010. Any Questions, contact Beth Roberts at
Henderson County High @ 270-831-8830 or email at
Beth.roberts@henderson.kyschools.us
.
Email Addresses - If you have an active e-mail account HCHS would love to have your
e-mail address. Please send your e-mail to Shawna Evans at
shawna.evans@henderson.kyschools.us , so that your address can be added
to the data bank. You will not receive junk mail. You will receive
important reminders about school happenings. It is a great way to stay
connected!!
